Welcome to Live Your Light Yoga.
Offering you the finest yoga instruction with classes focused on you.
True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed into the most flexible shape, but to be lived and have the most flexible mind. Yoga doesn’t care about where you have been; yoga cares about the person you are becoming and the person that you can be through the peace inside us that we all embody. Once you find that peace within, that’s where you find your light, and that is true yoga.

Meet our Founder
My name is Cathy Cantasano and I am a certified Yoga instructor. I used to be one of those people who walked into a yoga class and walked out. I always loved working out, but I couldn’t sit still and wanted to leave. Little did I know years later that Yoga is what I was looking for all along and I would be an instructor years later.
My love for Yoga came to me when I was pregnant with my firstborn seven years ago. I was having a rough pregnancy, emotionally, physically, and mentally. I decided to try yoga. Due to being pregnant, I was forced to slow down and really take care of myself. This is when I found this gift of yoga which forever changed my life.
Yoga has gotten me through the biggest life changes that were yet to come and I am forever grateful for this practice that connects the mind and body.
Since I was a child, I have been very empathetic to people and have always wanted to help. I am an advocate of living a positive life and being what you want to be.
I grew up in a high anxiety household and as a young child, I would battle it to find a better way to live. I researched and researched ways to improve myself and not to live in a fearful world and that life is a blessing to be lived and not feared!! I was on a mission to beat the feeling of fear and anxiety. I found my answer when I started practicing Yoga.
Yoga has taught me that we do have power over our minds and that we can control how we think. We all fall down, but we have the power to get back up and restart again!
The power resides within.
We start off with a breathing exercise to ground and focus you. Then we will start with 15 to 20 min of core vinyasa flow to warm up the body. Followed by 20 to 25 minutes of High-Intensity Interval Training, which entails 4 minutes of 8 rounds of fast movement postures of 20 seconds on and 10 seconds rest. This will tone your whole body, keep your metabolism up for 48 hours after, empower your mind and body, and is good for anti-aging. Then, for the last 15 minutes, we will cool down with a Vinyasa flow, followed by a meditation.
This is another one of my favorites. This class is different than regular Vinyasa because the way we transition in and out of poses is different. We activate the core in all moves through a wave-like motion keeping the back and joints safe throughout. It’s not a linear movement like a regular Vinyasa but a loose wave-like class that will free up stuck energy and moves energy around. This class will help you build heat through the entire body and activate the core through the deep core line, and activating the superficial back line and superficial front.
A 60-minute class that is a perfect setting for moms and dads to give their child there’s undivided attention. In this class, you can promote movement, stretching, and play along with bonding, better sleep, increase listening skills, higher self-esteem, and fewer tantrums. You don’t need any yoga experience, and no one is ever too young.
A 60 minutes class that teaching children mindfulness and learn about their bodies. This class is great for social connections as well as promoting a loving environment where kids can be themselves. They will learn, self-awareness, self-monitoring, and breathing techniques to calm their nervous system on their own, through poses and movements. This will be an important skill to have to carry with them throughout life.
A 60-minute class that activated the PNS (parasympathetic nervous system) to rest and heal your body. It typically consists of 5 to 6 poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. These poses are held for 5 minutes or more. You may hardly move at all and this class gives you the opportunity to disconnect from daily life activity.
