Live Your Light Yoga
True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed into the most flexible shape, but to be lived and have the most flexible mind. Yoga doesn't care about where you have been; yoga cares about the person you are becoming and the person that you can be through the peace inside us that we all embody. Once you find that peace within, that's where you find your light, and that is true yoga.
We start off with a breathing exercise to ground and focus you. Then we will start with 15 to 20 min of core vinyasa flow to warm up the body. Followed by 20 to 25 minutes of High-Intensity Interval Training, which entails 4 minutes of 8 rounds of fast movement postures of 20 seconds on and 10 second rest. This will tone your whole body, keep your metabolism up for 48 hours after, empower your mind and body, and is good for anti-aging. Then, for the last 15 minutes, we will cool down with a Vinyasa flow, followed by a meditation.
Core Vinyasa Flow
This is another one of my favorites. This class is different than regular Vinyasa because the way we transition in and out of poses is different. We activate the core in all moves through a wave-like motion keeping the back and joints safe throughout. It’s not a linear movement like a regular Vinyasa but a loose wave-like class that will free up stuck energy and moves energy around. This class will help you build heat through the entire body and activate the core through the deep core line, and activating the superficial back line and superficial front.
My philosophy is that everyone has peace inside them. It’s our natural state.
The outside world and life stresses take us away from our natural state. We can find our balance through Yoga.
We can find our way to peace by doing the postures, breathing, and releasing the stuck energy within us and most importantly to live in the present moment.
